On Monday 7th March, twelve teams bravely took on 10 rounds of mind-boggling questions on obscure subjects and long forgotten pieces of music at the annual George Hay Charity Shield Quiz, held at the John O'Gaunt Golf Club. Two nail-biting hours later, the Motley & Hope team emerged convincing winners.

Said victorious captain Paul Motley "we were especially pleased with our final score of 93 points, particularly as we managed to achieve the grand total of 2 points out of 10 in the first round! With a start like that you don't harbour great hopes of winning and so we just relaxed, enjoyed ourselves and somehow managed to dredge up enough long forgotten bits of trivia."
